Oklahoma City is going to be setting up a large shelter. Volunteers will be needed!

I will be posting info as I get it, so please post if you are willing to help.

***************update***********

Oklahoma City is no longer planning to open a large shelter. We do have Falls Creek and Gruber open and they are taking people in as we speak. Every victim that has come into our state has a place to stay! It's just wonderful. I do not know, however, what the need will be in the future because these "mass" housing groups will be probably be temporary.

Those of you who have posted you would be able to help in OK, I am saving your information. If there is a call for volunteers, I will be contacting you.

Thank you so so so much!

I am willing to help out. I am in Hawaii, but I am willing to get myself to OK. I just need suggestions on where to stay (shelter, home, etc.). I can stay for an extended period of time. I am Red Cross Certified in CPR for adults, children, and infants. I can do administrative duties and coordintation. please let me know how I can help.

Monkey Phat,
Last I heard as of 9-7 plans to bring people to Falls Creek at Turner Falls had been put on hold. If you get anymore info on this let me know. We are only about 15 minutes from there and would be more than happy to volunteer. Or if you hear of any other shelters opening around my area email us.

Thanks,
Misty
