Hi All,

Yes, we're working on this site, believe it or not! Here are a few additions that we thought we'd share prior to launching our new look.

These are all features that can be used by surrounding your text in code. They only work on Internet Explorer, so sorry for you Netscape or Firefox users. One day I'm sure someone will develop these features for your browsers too!

Left bracket = [
Right bracket = ]
The text inside the brackets is in RED
Options you can change are in BLUE

To Glow: Left bracket glow=(color=nameyourcolor,strength=3 Right bracket YOUR TEXT Left bracket/glow right bracket. You can select your own color, text, and strength.

I'm glowing!

To Shadow: Left bracket shadow=#006699 Right bracket YOUR TEXT Left bracket /shadow right bracket.

I'm still playing with this, but I think that number is a color that can be changed.

Shadows are Cool!

To flip: Left bracket fliph right bracket YOUR TEXT right bracket/fliph Left bracket.

I've flipped!

To x-ray: Left bracket x-ray Right bracket Your Text Left bracket/x-ray Right bracket

[x-ray] X-Ray[/x-ray]

To move: left bracket move right bracket YOUR TEXT left bracket/move right bracket

Catch Me If You Can!

To ping pong: left bracket pong right bracket YOUR TEXT left bracket /pong right bracket

Ping Pong Anyone?

To float: left bracket updwn right bracket YOUR TEXT left bracket /updwn right bracket

I'm floating away!!

To wavy gravy: left bracket wave=2 right bracket YOUR TEXT left bracket /wave right bracket.

Wavy Gravy

Think this is confusing? Don't be shy, give it a try, it's easier than it looks! Once you do them once, it's a piece of cake!!

With some of these you can adjust the font, size and color the usual way as well. Experiment, and let's see what you come up with!

More fun coming soon!!

Hi LightHeart!

It's been getting a bit boring here, and time to spice things up a little.

We're still relying on contractors to complete some of the more difficult programming, but I thought it's time to get busy with some new stuff anyway!

I'm itching to get the contests going, but not until we unveil our new look and feel!!!

We have some very cool prizes already lined up, so remember to stay tuned, and don't tell all your friends yet, because referrals are going to be a good way to win prizes! :toot:

Hmmm, not hard at all. But I did find that the size of the text looks much better if you make it larger. I went back and changed all mine because it was too small.

Wherever there is a color involved, I suspect you can either use the English name of the color, such as RED, GREEN, etc., or the hexidecimal representation as Nico alluded to on the Shadow example. It won't recognize every possible color, using the name, but it does recognize most common colors. I'm going to try some:

The shadow should be lavendar and the text should be green

The shadow should be red and the text should be blue

The shadow should be turquoise and the text should be green - this is using hex numbers

Geek alert:
If you use hex numbers, the first 2 digits represent how much red is in the color, the second 2, how much green, the last 2, how much blue. Always precede the number with #. The numbers are in base 16, hence the term, hexidecimal. Each digit can be a value of zero through F (in decimal, that is zero thruogh 15) Since there are only 10 number symbols in base 10 - decimal, what we usually use - we use A through F to represent 10 through 15. Don't worry if that doesn't make sense. The important thing is that the progression is from zero to F, each higher number causing more of that color.

So to represent pure red, you would use #ff0000 - highest amount or red, and no amount of green or blue. Bright purple would be #ff00ff - highest red, highest blue. Yellow would be #ffff00 - red and green.

Hexidecimal color numbers are often refered to as RGB - red, green, blue.

OK, let's see if my experiments worked...

I don't know why the first one doesn't have green text, but the other 2 worked. So you can use hex numbers or actual names.

Kudos to Nico for figuring these bits out :clapping:

I am just happy I figured out how to get the thing to work! I'm almost ready for Google Ads! Okay, I am kidding that stuff makes me a nervous wreck. I had someone trying to convince me to put in a different wireless thingie on my comp. and I am not touching it!

I will fiddle with the colors and thanks Nico!
