Nip/Tuck

When I first heard about Nip/Tuck, my reaction was cool, to say the least. A glitzy show about appearance obsessed beautiful people really didn't cut it in a world that places so much emphasis on looks that our kids are throwing up their lunches to be fashionably thin... but it happened to be on one night when I was too lazy to get up to change the channel and I was hooked. It's got a wierd sort of off kilter thing going that reminds me a lot of the old Picket Fences (two world famous plastic surgeons arguing about repairing a scar on a gorilla's face so she'll be acceptable as a mate? Does it get much more bizarre than that?)

Anyone else watch this one?

The people who go on there and think they need work done on them.. well its nuts.
Boob jobs, penis jobs, face jobs.. where does it end?

Aw, I loved the bit where the doctor's kid wanted to be attractive to his girlfriend so bad that he attempted to circumcise himself... like.. ouch?

People are just so obsessed about being beautiful. They define beauty by what they see on tv. Everyone wants to be thin and beautiful and will do everything to achieve that. Well, pity them. I enjoy living my life without worrying as to how I look.

My first reaction to this program is "What the?". Because honestly I don't want to really see some surgery done in the human body, especially if they were just for the sake of beauty. Chatterbox is right, people nowadays are so obsessed. I remember this episode where in a girl was trying to hitch one of the doctors and he just made her wear a paper bag on her head. But she came back the next day with the paper bad and wanted to do it again. There are some serious issues in there we got to see.

I love Nip/Tuck. It is so bizzare. Christian is so hot, too bad he is such a jerk. This season, everyone is a jerk, though. The only ones with any decency are the little girl and baby.
