Hi Doug,

Thanks for you kind offer! We need people to stay home and coordinate too, just as much as we need people to go on location, so please consider using your resources to coordinate others yourself.

One thought is to get in touch with the major shelters where people are being dropped, make a contact, identify specific and immediate needs, and then get a little force of fellow volunteers together by posting the specifics here.

The problem is that everyone is looking for coordination, and there is none, not even from as high up as the White House. All systems are overwhelmed, so we have to take the bull by the horns as individuals, join together as groups, and get something going.

That's what we're here for, so please use this resource!!

Your passion and generosity are so appreciated!

Nico

ok, here's the deal. from what I hear, covington and mandeville, LA have been hit hard and they have no gas to get out. in franklinton a man died because the ambulance ran out of gas. I was gonna go down there but I can't anymore. I have contact information for a man named ronnie and you should call him asap. he plans to meet in covington if they can find a staging ground.
