Hi All,
We've just had the message board upgraded to the latest version, thanks to our quiet but faithful forum elves from GFX Styles!
I'm going to list some of the new features as I find them myself for those of you who like to play around with such things! Please don't hesitate to ask questions, or jump if you're familiar with the new stuff yourself!!
The first thing I'm finding is the new multiple quote function.
From vbulletin.com:
The much-requested multi-quote feature allows users to tag multiple posts that they wish to respond to by clicking a small button on each post. Once the user clicks the reply button, each tagged post is quoted.
To increase usability, by default, only posts within the current thread are automatically quoted. If you wish to quote posts in other threads with multi-quote, you simply need to click a link on the reply page, and the text of those posts will be added without a reload.
I'm just playing around with this right now. At the bottom of posts there is now a new icon that looks like a big quote " icon. If you click this on different posts in a thread and then hit "new reply" all the posts you clicked will be quoted in the reply window. I'm not sure how it works with different threads yet. I have to try things before they make sense to me. I don't know about anyone else, but the vbulletin text doesn't help me much. :dork:
More to come as I find things!
