You are very welcome to send any donated items to Corpus Christi! We have over 3000 displaced New Orleanians here, many whom intend to restart their lives in our lovely town. In the meantime, we need to feed, clothe and provide sleeping arrangements for a sudden influx of people equalling 1% of our total population, quickly and potentially for several months. The City of Corpus Christi may be contacted at 361/826-2489 from 10am - 6pm daily. The website is http://www.cctexas.com/?fuseaction=main.view&page=2640 They are said to be accepting food, clothing, money and water. There is a donation form on the webpage.
