This is an international aid organization that is USA based, and does work within our borders all the time. They get very little mention on the news etc. but are great. Our church has co-oped with them for years. They are extremely active in the Katrina relief effort. They do only accept money as far as I know...at least for the Katrina effort.

Also, the American Diabetes Assoc. is doing a car donation thing. Perhaps not an absolutely immediate need, but surely will be in the not too distant future. Esp. for those relocated to more rural areas.
