My friend is found. She is in a place in Gonzales, Louisiana. What I need now, while I wait for a call back and to get through on the phone lines to her is:

Someone to search for my entries all over the net where I posted her and her family as missing, and to report her as SAFE.

I need information on this place in Gonzales. It is not listed on any shelter list so maybe it is a church, etc. If anyone can call the local government [thank you Nico good idea] and find out where they're keeping evacuees from New Orleans, that would be SO helpful.

I am contacting Mike from THIS BOARD who wants to go down to the area and transport here to Oregon, where I am. My friend comes with two sisters ;)

I won't know more until I speak with my friend. Congratulations for making a difference to this board, and all you peeps. Happy day for many of us in finding our friends and loved ones and acquaintances.

If you can go and report her as safe, please do so. Don't wait. Just go lookin!

NAME:
Comateta Clifton

DOB:
1/12/71

AGE:
34

LOCATION:
New Orleans

STATUS:
SAFE with three other sisters safe as well: Comateta, Betty and Rosanda are with her in Gonzales, LA. shelter/home/somewhere. Sister Shelia is safe with uncle and on her way to Texas.

SO just post that! Her name is easy to find on the sites as it is one of a kind.

I appreciate it!

That is such wonderful news to hear. I'll keep an eye out as I'll be in and out of those sites today helping others search for their families.

Wow. Cool! Thank you. I dont know whats going on but I keep updating this and still the old info is here. They moved her to a shelter in Texarkana, Texas. Red Cross, nobody can tell me where she is exactly. Most frustrating. Im think of contacting Gonazales, LA shelters to see where she was... maybe they know where she went but I suspect they didn't know.

Thank you i'm glad you're on the front so to speak. Best!

Contact the Pentacostal Church of God in Texarkana AR-some evacuees are being helped there-the pastors there are very kind and may be able to put you in touch with your friend
