I was disappointed with the twist in last night's episode of Amazing Race.
I thought the twist woud have been cool if whomever had come in last at the one stop prior to the pitstop had been switched with the first place team.
I was disappointed that they eliminated the first team so early on.
I was also disappointed to see the two teams that were eliminated go so early. I would like to have seen both of those teams stay in a little longer!
What did some of you think?

I have only watched the first half, and just saw the Muslim team get eliminated. It is too bad that they had to end the experience so quickly, but I think it will ultimately make the show better. The show has gotten into too much of a pattern where people knew the early parts of legs were not important because they would all be bunched up.
Now people will have to be on the toes more the entire race, so while it is bad for them, it is good for the rest of the race.

This is my first season watching TAR so I'm still getting things, and teams, sorted out in my mind. I'm sorry the father-daughter team was eliminated last time but I would have probably thought that about any team. So far they all seem likeable and easy to root for, except maybe the boyfriend of the girl with the prosthetic leg. He just doesn't seem as respectful or supportive as she deserves.

I watched this show last season and really enjoyed it, but haven't watched it this season at all. I guess I just didn't realize it had started. What was the big twist?

This year is very good. The challenges are much more difficult, and the last episode was pretty good due to how tough the challenge was at the end. Just very good stuff. I hope they keep the challenges that difficult.

So the challeneges are more difficult than in previous years? All I have to compare it to is Treasure Hunters, which was similar but not matching. The challenges were seeming very difficult to me but I thought that was maybe because this was my first time watching. I have a lot of respect for these people for making it through the challenges at all.

I have not watched this week's episode yet, and I still have half a season of Treasure Hunters left on my TiVo, but yeah this year's challenges are more demanding than in past. Ocassionally they have had more difficult ones, but the base level this year has been consistently high.
I think the harder challenges really push the contestants and their relationships to the breaking point, which makes for more compelling tv.

here's what I DO like about the new twist: I like that they don't take the last team's $$ and make them beg for $ from other tourists.

Do people still watch amazing race? I think I have only watched the first two or the first 3 seasons of this show then I stopped watching. Everything looks the same and it gets boring everytime they make a new season for this show.

I think that was part of the game. Entertainment was the main goal of these shows. To entertain the people who are fond of watching them. I am also flustered with what they did, it was very different from what I had expected too. I just wished they had cleared the matters, I know those guys are also frustrated because they worked their way just to be a part of the race and then lose just like that. Very sad.
