I hope this is the right board! :D
I have a friend who is from New Orleans. I have known her for four years. She is currently housed in Texas. She plans on going back. She has a rash from traversing the waters :( It's keeping her from working or even going outside. She is a published author and a heck of a writer. She asked me if I happened to have a laptop she could use to write with in the shelter. I do not.
HOWEVER, believe it or not, I think I can find someone willing to donate a laptop to her. It just needs to have an operating system on it for her to write; internet access would be most difficult even with donations at this point. So, what I need to know is if there is anyone who has an extra laptop? Lol.
Otherwise, I shall appeal to corportations. Maybe I can start locally in my area. I know everyone wants to help. It may not be food and housing, but imagine how she could get word out and be our eyes and ears?
