Lady Livewires and Sir Franklin(our Techy Knight),

Well the negative feedback is very discouraging, its not about the site, but peoples disinterest in helping--and the most prominent reason --with katrina victims--is their race.

This leads me to anither item for us to tackle--Does anyone speak or write in Spanish? That will be a huge hurdle in dealing with Rita victims. I am useless in this, what of the language I know pertains to cable tv and or bar slang. I will try to contact a friend of mine---shes learning and her boyfriend may agree to translate for us. Nico-we need spanish speaking interviewees---to talk and translate on air.

I have also tapped a new resource for crossposting---the gay and lesbian chat/message forums. Not surprisingly they are very interested in our mission. A large population of gays/lesbians were living in and around new orleans. Many have friends that were effected by Katrina.

Also, we need to be looking ahead here-the holidays--Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas will be upon us shortly----what do we want to organize for hurricane victims and how much? Should we post suggestions for community fundraisers and activities etc...?
WDYT?

Just letting ya'll know-we had Tornadoes all around Huntsville AL, today--so there may be a secondary relief effort in the wings. It's still very windy (gusts to 40 mph) and lots of rain here in lower Middle Tennessee. Keep us in your prayers, we're not out of the woods yet. Will post more later.
