How You Can Help
HURRICANE KATRINA/RITA DISASTER:

At this time, we are only accepting volunteer teams that wish to come to the affected area and assist with relief or rebuilding efforts. These teams must be self-contained, able to provide their own transportation, housing and meals.

If your team is interested and meets the above requirements, please send the following information to bwenrich@convoyofhope.org

Name, phone, address, e-mail, number of people on the
team, any areas of expertise of team members (such as construction, medical, etc.) and when and how long your
team can be available.

We are not able to accept individual volunteers at this time. Please visit our Web site often as we regularly update
this information.

Corporate Sponsorships: Corporate sponsors have provided numerous truckloads of supplies such as bottled water, ice, nonperishable foods, medical supplies and cleaning supplies. Convoy of Hope is in need of corporate sponsors who can provide life-saving supplies such as these.

Organizations that may not be able to provide entire truckloads can still participate by sponsoring the shipment
of a load.

If your business would like to participate, please contact Erick Meier at emeier@convoyofhope.org

Donations: In order to help the most people the fastest, Convoy of Hope is currently only accepting full truckloads of shrink-wrapped pallets of the same item.

Because of our corporate relationships, individuals can help
victims the greatest by making cash donations, through which every donated dollar provides far more product than if we collected the product alone. For example, a $5 donation provides 10 bags of ice, or enough to provide five families with two bags of ice. Even with the significant contributions of these generous corporations, we must absorb the fuel and shipping costs for each load.

Although financial contributions sustain our relief efforts, the immense demand for tangible projects has led us to create the Family 2 Family Personal Hygiene Kit. Your family, school, company, sorority/fraternity or other can create these kits, which will be distributed to the displaced victims of Hurricane Katrina. Coupled with water, ice and food, we can provide each person with items that offer further comfort than the essential life-sustaining items.

Friends who support our efforts by giving of their time or resources are essential to this organization. Without them, we would not be able to touch people's lives and offer them hope. Your assistance will enable us to continue to respond to disasters, provide supply lines and to sponsor outreach events here in the United States and around the world.

Hi...
I stoppped byoccassionally to check w/ Convoy of Hope in Lake Charles. They HAD 4 sites open for food distributon BUT had to close two due to lack of workers. Struggling to keep the other 2 open but National Guard stepped in to help yesterday. Right now residents are not in city until today. They are allowed a quick look & see then leave town...to check on home damage. Resources are not available for families yet here.

They need help!
Bye, Sparkie Pam
