24401. FROM PASADO
by barkway, 10/19/05 18:21 ET
CNN Covers St. Bernard Pet Shooting Tonight(time not posted on web. Think it is 8pm, not sure)
We hope the killer(s) of the cats and dogs in St. Bernard Parish is watching: today PasadoRescuers had an opportunity to spread the word of the $25,000 reward by handing out flyers at a St. Bernard Parish community meeting to thousands of people. CNN came along. The more people know about the reward, the better chance we have of catching the coward who did this to these innocent animals.
We also introduced CNN to one of the many owners of the animals shot to death at St. Bernard schools. John Bozes, above, shows a photo of his wife and Angel Girl, his beloved husky mix who was tied up and murdered at St. Bernard Middle School. According to John, "When Mark called me (Pasado's Humane Investigator) we were so grateful. My dog was murdered and I can't sleep thinking about what happened to her. When I met Mark, I was so impressed. He expressed sympathy, but he vowed to do everything he could do find the killer. I can't believe there is such good in people."
John, it is our honor to find Angel Girl's killer. And the killer of 32 other dogs and cats. Watch Anderson Cooper tonight on CNN for the whole story.
Civil Suits: If we find the killer(s) of these animals and whether or not we get a criminal prosecution, Pasado's Safe Haven will be offering assistance to all the owners of these animals to bring a civil judgment against the killer(s). We hope to make their lives as difficult as possible following their choice to inflict such suffering on these animals - and on the people who loved them.
