It seems like no one has signed up lately, so I will jump right on it and throw my hat into the ring!

I was glad there wasnt a line here, because I hate standing in line :woohoo:

Hi Rico and RunAmok!

It's great to see some activity here again! My thought is that if you're interested in getting something going, maybe define what it is that you're wanting to accomplish, and what resources and skills you need to make it happen.

We found during the hurricane emergencies that a lot of people are looking for something to do, but they don't know what. If there are a few clear job descriptions, often you'll get volunteers.

If you get something going, we'll do a phone interview and get it running on Livewire radio, get it our on RSS feed, do some PR, etc.

We know from our experience that identifying a project and then getting rolling with it can be a very rewarding situation. It's amazing what a group of people with a common goal and committed focus can accomplish!

We'll do all we can to support and contribute to your efforts.

I was an enthusiastic volunteer at a nursing home on the MS Gulf coast for two years, and loved every minute of it. I made great friends and the interraction with people actually relieved me from a great depression.

I will be entering nursing school full time in January, because of my volunteering experiences. So, there won't be any more time for me to help out for awhile!
