Saw this money saving idea on the internet:

Visiting Kinko's, I learned that the magnetic signs I wanted would set me back a couple hundred dollars (truck and trailer). Knowing that this wasn't practical since that would pay for a lifesaving heartworm treatment, a lightbulb went off in my head, reducing the cost to under $20:

- Go to Lowe's and get some magnetic vent register covers (a 3 pack of 8X15s is about $4).
- Get a couple packs of 3" mailbox letters (about $2 a pack).

Then, there are plenty of combinations by which you can lay out your sign. For example, "Disaster" and "Animal" on the top and bottom of one sheet respectively, then "Relief" and "Rescue" on the other, then place the two next to eachother on your vehicle so it reads "Disaster Relief" on one line and "Animal Rescue" on the next. I may do that on the truck, then just go with "Animal Rescue" on the trailer so I can grab a couple more cases of bottled water to bring down with the additional savings.

I believe you can make the sign look quite professional if you mind the dimensions, spacing, etc. It will stick right to your vehicle and I believe the letter stickers should hold up quite well. The money you save can go directly to the cause!
