I don't watch Springer but I did happen to see his bio on TV & the history of the show. I was impressed. When they were controversial, their ratings went thru the roof but whenever they tried to tone it down...the ratings would follow.

Jerry Springer show already have an image of it being controversial having all these guests fighting on the stage and all those horrific gestures. Because it already have that image, seeing something different is not acceptable anymore. But I don't like this show and I don't watch it.

The show is really very controversial. I don't know if it is just made so or the persons just can't keep themselves from quarreling over the issues they were dealing with. I agree with chatterbox here, it's like you'll be attacked by someone for airing your side on the arguments, which I think is not a very good thing.
