I hope America will consider this because illegal immigrants went to America to find redemption to their poor lives in their countries that they chose to risk being deported and banned just so they could provide money for their families. These people are good employes and are really working hard. Isn't that an asset to America?

I believe so too, but unfortunately there are rules to be followed and we cannot circumvent those rules anytime we want. I guess, countries are trying to restrict these stuff from happening becasue they do not want to be flooded by people, because if that would happen then maybe we would also suffer the same problems as they're country.

We DO need immigration reform, but we do not need to create measures to chase these people out of our country.

They are working members of our society, and in many places in the country a backbone of the economy. The immigration reform we really need, IMO, is a way for these people to work within the confines of the law. Allow them to apply for some sort of temporary ID's they can use for employment so they can pay income taxes like the rest of us, and as long as they are working in this country they are legal. With some sort of legal ID they could register their cars, insure themselves and their vehicles, be easier to find and more accountable for crimes, and continue to work and contribute to our society.

I agree with chatterbox that we shouldn't be chasing people out of America.

How would y'all feel about the illegals if we created a registration program and no one came?

I ask, because history shows that this is what will happen if we attempt to get cooperation from the illegals who are pouring across our southern borders.

There are a lot of studies which indicate that we do not need these workers. In fact, if you take a close look at how this situation is panning out, the big corps like McDonald's, Wal-Mart, etc who hire these folks are making out great, while we the taxpayers are subsidising these underpaid workers by shelling out for all the special entitlement programs they are entitled to due to their low wages.

Beyond that, we're funding the prison stays of those who commit crimes, not to mention that we're victims of those crimes, we're paying for education, medical care, social services, foreclosed mortgages, etc etc.

This whole situation really concerns me, because it's only common sense that you don't open your front door, let anyone wander in who feels like it to eat your food, sleep in your bed, and invite their entire village to move in on the premise that they are entitled to be there simply because you were too careless to lock the door.

Yet, the propaganda machine is so effective that we have serious numbers of taxpaying American citizens supporting the idea that we do just than, and even worse, that if we don't we're bad and mean.

The whole situation makes no sense to me, unless I'm looking at it from the perspective of how scary it is that Americans are increasingly letting others do our thinking for us, even to the extent of determining our "morality" for us.

Think about it, Friends. According to the "wisdom" of the day, I'm a "racist" for posting what I just did. But do yourself a favor, and find the racist comment/s before you jump on that bandwagon.

I especially urge you younger folks to take great care in how you choose to address this issue, because you and your children will be living with the consequences of how it pans out for a long long time.

If you believe the spin that this immense, uncontrolled, and ILLEGAL wave of immigrants is good for America, or has any bearing on past immigration policies, maybe you should take the time to do some serious and accurate research.
