Wanting to Volunteer

I have tried to volunteer in many ways to help Katrina victims and even the Red Cross can't even take your name at this time as they are to busy?! Can we sort the volunteer opportunities and donation sites by city/state? In some way that is easily accessible -- a search engine that will let people locate the nearest place that satisfy their capability criteria would be excellent. Keep it updated as more information come in. This would be quite a project, I would think.

Not too much of a project if we get a few volunteers who can move threads and keep things organized.

Please keep them in the relevant parent thread, such as "Immediate Needs".
