Very interesting thread on the new legislation saying that it's illegal to be anonymously annoying on the internet. I wonder if some crazies will take that further, and try to hold board owners responsible for harboring annoying people? And who's to say what's annoying and what isn't?

I think it's a fishing expedition to see how much we Americans are willing to give up in our quest for "safety".

Annoyance is usually a two way street. People annoy the people who annoy them. Are we going to be playing "who started it?" or "who is the most annoying" in court all of a sudden?

The wording of the legislation is bizarre at best, and scary at worst. Maybe Dubya is wanting take as many of our rights as he can with him when he leaves office.
